"five years ... too many unanswered questions"

Join the Campaign!

"IRAQ 2006: Ending the U.S. Occupation"

Join our "End the War" delegation to Congressman Sodrel.

After meeting with Indiana Congressional Representatives, their staff, and Senator Richard Lugar in Washington, D.C. in September 2005, we are making plans to again lobby Congressman Mike Sodrel to end funding for the war on Iraq and to support House Concurrent Resolution 35 (calling for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq). A face-to-face meeting at Congressman Sodrel's Bloomington office is being organized for September 2006.

Our lobbying delegation will present the petitions with more than 4,200 signatures, in support of enactment of House Concurrent Resolution 35. We are seeking individuals who will speak about the need to "Bring the troops home now" to join our delegation to Sodrel.

Please contact us to participate in this crucial lobbying campaign.

On November 10, 2005, BPAC organizers presented the second in a series of programs addressing the need to end the U.S. occupation of Iraq.
This presentation, "IRAQ 2005: Ending the U.S. Occupation ~ Part 2" both educational and organizational, was designed to draw citizens and activists into the crucial campaign to support Congressional Resolutions calling for withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

Starting on Nov. 26, 2005, "IRAQ 2005: Ending the U.S. Occupation ~ Part 2" has been
broadcast on Bloomington's community television channel, CATS. See the CATS schedule for details on broadcast dates and times.

The "IRAQ 2005: Ending the U.S. Occupation!" Multi-media Presentation on July 25, 2005 at the Monroe Co. Public Library Auditorium was a success.
The response was overwhelmingly positive with people becoming involved in the campaign to support House Concurrent Resolution 35, calling for development and implementation of a plan for the swift withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

The "IRAQ 2005: Ending the U.S. Occupation!" presentation has been broadcast on Bloomington's Community Access Television Services (CATS - Channel 3) since August 8, 2005.

in Haditha and throughout Iraq!

Wednesday, June 21, 2006 ~ 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Monroe County Courthouse Square ~ Bloomington, Indiana

STOP THE KILLING!

•  We memorialized the 24 innocent victims of the Haditha massacre and all Iraqi civilians killed in the illegal, immoral U.S. occupation of Iraq, by reading their names and ages.

•  We marched from the Square to Congressman Mike Sodrel's office to express our outrage at our Representative's complicity in the killings and atrocities, by his support of the U.S. Occupation of Iraq.

OUR DEMANDS:
1. END the U.S. Occupation of Iraq!
2. BRING all those responsible for the invasion of Iraq and the resulting atrocities
to justice,
starting with the highest levels of government and military leadership,
down to the soldiers who committed the murders.
